Manipur reports only 1 death, positivity rate at 8.8 % Monday

Imphal: Manipur reported one Covid related death, 382 positive cases (374 general population 8 CAPF)and 324 recoveries in last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 374 persons (188 males, 186 females) from the general population who tested positive include 152 from Imphal West, 66 from Imphal East, 31 from Kakching, 28 from Bishnupur, 27 from Churachandpur, 17 from Thoubal, 16 each from Kangpokpi and Ukhrul, 15 from Tamenglong, 5 each from Chandel and Pherzawl, 2 from Noney and 1 each from Jiribam and Senapati.

Altogether 4,360 persons were tested accounting for a positivity rate of 8.8 % in the state as on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, 324 persons were discharged which include 152 from home isolation, 105 from CCCs, 55 from CHICs, 6 from JNIMS and 6 from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 95.45 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,13,933 (General Population – 1, 09,816, Central Security Personnel – 4,117). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 08,754 (General Population – 1, 04,664, Central Security Personnel – 4,090). The number of active cases is 3,397 (General Population – 3,375, Personnel – 22).

The total number of doses administered on August 29, 2021, is 4,582 and the cumulative number doses administered is 15,24,408 (1st dose 11,86,702, 2nd dose 3,37,706)

The total number of vacant hospital beds available in the state as on August 31, is 490 which include 407 general beds and 83 ICU/HDU beds.

The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on August 31 is 3547 out of which 706 are occupied and 2841 are vacant.
