Manipur registers two deaths, 365 positive cases, 347 recoveries Thursday

The Two persons who expired are from Imphal East and Ukhrul respectively. Both of them had co-morbidities and had taken the 2nd dose Covid vaccine. The cumulative death tool in the state now stands at 2036.

Imphal: Manipur registered two Covid-related deaths, 365 positive cases (362 general population, three CAPF) and 347 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The Two persons who expired are from Imphal East and Ukhrul respectively. Both of them had co-morbidities and had taken the 2nd dose Covid vaccine. The cumulative death tool in the state now stands at 2036.

Of the 362 persons from the general population who tested positive, 145 are from Imphal West, 95 from Imphal East, 27 from Churachandpur, 25 from Thoubal, 26 from Bishnupur, 13 from Kakching, six from Tamenglong, five each from Kangpokpi, Chandel and Tengnoupal, four each from Senapati and Ukhrul and one each from Noney and Kamjong. Altogether, 1,915 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 19.1 %.

Meanwhile, 347 persons recovered and were discharged, 243 from home isolation, 86 from CCCs, 13 from RIMS and five from JNIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 95.60 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 31,704 out of which 1,25,908 have recovered, leaving 3,760 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on January 26, 2022, is 2,278, the cumulative number of doses administered is 24,57,958 (1st dose 13,99,884, 2nd dose 10,37,832) and precautionary 20,242.

There is total of 300 Covid beds in JNIMS, out of which 57 are occupied while 243 are vacant while in RIMS there are 190 Covid beds, out of which 24 are occupied and 166 are vacant.
