Kakching: District Administration, Kakching organized Meeyamgi Numit (People’s Day) for Kakching District on Monday at Deputy Commissioner Office Complex, Kakching.
The programme was inaugurated by Adhyakshya, Kakching Zila Parishad, Phuritsabam Jiten Singh.
Speaking to media persons on the occasion, the Adhyakshya said that Meeyamgi Numit has been organized under the instruction of Chief Minister N Biren Singh and altogether 25 departments have opened stalls and provided services to the general public. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kakching, A. Adahrii Maheo informed that Meeyamgi Numit for Kakching district will be organized on the 4th of every month.
As part of the programme, District Agriculture Office, Thoubal/Kakching distributed 160 Micro-nutrient Fertilizers (Microfert-L) to the farmers free of cost. District Health Society, Kakching too administered Covid vaccination, testing of sugar, BP etc. free of cost while Kakching Range, Thoubal Forest Division provided free seedling.
Mentioned may be made that Meeyamgi Numit is a service platform for the general public to address their grievances. Hundreds of people turned up to highlight their grievances. District Level Officers also attended the programme.
