Manipur logs one death, 33 positive cases, 28 recoveries Thursday

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Imphal East, he had co-morbidities and had not been vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1979.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Thursday, Manipur registered one Covid related death, 33 new positive cases and 28 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Imphal East, he had co-morbidities and had not been vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1979.

Of the 33 persons who tested positive from the general population, 13 are from Imphal West, 14 from Imphal East, three from Bishnupur and one each from Senapati, Churachandpur and Ukhrul.

 Altogether, 1,476 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 2.2 %.

Meanwhile, 28 persons recovered and were discharged, seven of them from home isolation, 13 from CCCs and eight from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.89 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,259 out of which 1,22,627 have recovered leaving 663 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on December 1, 2021, is 8,321, the cumulative number of doses administered is 21,68,185 (1st dose 12,84,653, 2nd dose 8,83,532).
