Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Friday Manipur reported one Covid-related death, 452 positive cases (418 general population, 34 CAPF) and 407 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Imphal west, he had co-morbidities and had taken the 2nd dose Covid vaccine. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2037.
Of the 418 persons from the general population who tested positive, 173 are from Imphal West, 135 from Imphal East, 22 from Bishnupur, 21 from Thoubal, 16 from Churachandpur, 11 from Kakching, seven from Senapati, six each from Ukhrul and Kangpokpi, five from Tamenglong, three each from Noney and Tengnoupal and two each from Jiribam and Kamjong. Altogether, 2,172 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 20.8 %.
Meanwhile, 407 persons recovered and were discharged, 181 from home isolation, 211 from CCCs, nine from RIMS and six from JNIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 95.58 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 32,156 out of which 1,26,315 have recovered, leaving 3,804 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on January 27, 2022, is 8,691, the cumulative number of doses administered is 24,67,527 (1st dose 14,05,834, 2nd dose 10,39,615) and precautionary 22,078.
There is a total of 300 Covid beds in JNIMS, out of which 65 are occupied while 235 are vacant while in RIMS there are 190 Covid beds, out of which 30 are occupied and 160 are vacant.
