Imphal: Manipur Governor La Ganesan Monday inaugurated a newly constructed Vedvidya Bhavan at Charhajare, Kangpokpi District.
La Ganesan spoke on the importance of the Vedic system of education in India since ancient times. Appreciating the parents of those students who have sent their wards to the Vidyalaya, the Governor said anybody who recites Veda, and anybody who believes in the ‘karma’ will be an intelligent person.
Citing the teaching of Jagadguru Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Mahaswamigal, Ganesan said whether you’re a Brahmin or Sharma if you do not follow the teaching of Veda, your genes (quality) will be lost after a few generations.
The Governor also expressed his happiness in participating in the ceremony.
Pandit Badri Sharan Khativada Guru was felicitated and presented ‘Maharshi Vedvyasa Puraskar’.
Works minister Th. Biswajit Singh assured to provide 24/7 power supply through solar energy and road infrastructure as well in and around the Vedvidya Bhavan, Charhajare.
Most of the speakers elaborated about the importance of Veda and the Vedvidya Bhavan, Charhajare will impart ‘Vedas’ to students. Governor Ganesan highlights importance of Vedic system of education.
