Manipur Cong remembers Rajiv Gandhi by donating ambulance, oxygen

As part of the commemoration of the 30th martyrdom of Rajiv Gandhi, the ambulances were flagged off by MPCC President, K. Govindas and Chairman of Observation Committee of 30th martyrdom of Rajiv Gandhi in Manipur, K. Meghachandra MLA.

Imphal: Manipur Congress observed the 30th martyrdom of former Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi by dedicating ambulances, oxygen concentrators, food packets, medicines and other items to the people to combat the Covid pandemic in the state.

As part of the commemoration of the 30th martyrdom of Rajiv Gandhi, the ambulances were flagged off by MPCC President, K. Govindas and Chairman of Observation Committee of 30th martyrdom of Rajiv Gandhi in Manipur, K. Meghachandra MLA.

CLP Leader O. Ibobi spoke about the nation that Rajiv Gandhi aspired and worked for. He highlighted the works and contributions of Rajiv Gandhi in developing the nation.

Gaikhangam, MLA Fajur Rahim, MLA, O. Surjakumar and other Congress leaders also joined the remembrance of the former Prime Minister of India in the function held at Congress Bhavan.

The commemoration was followed by the dedication of oxygen concentrators, medicines, food packets and other items to the people of Manipur to combat the Covid pandemic.

The distribution of the dedicated items would also take place in all the 60 Assembly constituencies. Ten ambulances and 15 oxygen concentrators will be provided to the District Headquarters

Community Home Isolation Centres where they are required.

Most of the ambulances have already been booked and their delivery is being awaited soon.
