Manipur: 11 persons nabbed with drugs, banned items

The operation started on September 13 in which two persons identified as Lheineikim Haokip (28) and Kimneilhing Khongsai (41) were nabbed with 5.684 Kg of Opium from Sugnu market.

Imphal: Eleven persons were arrested with drugs and other banned items in a series of operations launched by NAB and Manipur police.
Police Thursday said the operation started on September 13 in which two persons identified as Lheineikim Haokip (28) and Kimneilhing Khongsai (41) were nabbed with 5.684 Kg of Opium from Sugnu market.

The same day at North AOC, Imphal, Taj Khan (20) was nabbed with 1.172 kg of WY tablets (approximately 10,000 ).

The next day on Sep 14 at Pallel one Leivon David (49) was nabbed with 45 soap cases containing suspected Heroin No. 4 concealed in two charcoal bags. The diesel auto bearing registration number MN 04 D 6095 in which the suspected Heroine No. 4 was concealed and carried was also seized. A case is registered at NAB PS and investigated.

On the same day three persons, namely, Lingunmang Kipgen (23), Paolensem Haokip (23) and Haokholal Haokip (27) were nabbed at Pallel along Indo-Myanmar road and with 65 nos. of soap caps weighing about 715 grams of suspected Heroin powder along with one Fortuner Car bearing registration No. MNO6L/3270 from their possession.

On Sep 15 four persons, namely, Mohd. Anish Khan (32), Md. Sabir Ahamed (27) Md. Sahidur Rahaman (29) and Nm. Zakariya (19) were nabbed from Singjamei Yumnam Leikai along Indo-Myanmar road and seized about 20 Kg of suspected Brown Sugar along with two Tata Truck bearing registration No. AS01JC/4897, AS11AC/7732, 35 nos. of soap cases containing about 437.5 grams of suspected Heroin powder were also seized.
