Kolkata: West Bengal Leader of Opposition and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday dubbed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee as the “Queen Bee of the Corruption Hive.”

Taking to Twitter, Adhikari said, “Your MLAs got arrested as they were submerged in corruption. I’m glad that your facade of “zero tolerance” is coming off. You’re defending the culprits & once again voicing your support for those who were recruited illegally.”

“Shame on you. You’re the queen bee of the corruption hive,” he added.

Taking strong exception to Banerjee’s indirect reference to him as “Kimbhut Kimakar” (reshaped and ugly) during a presser here, Adhikari said the use of such “demeaning” words is shameful.

Adhikari said, ” Yeh Darr Mujhe Achha Laga! It is shameful that you used the same demeaning words “Kimbhut Kimakar” in my reference as you had earlier used in regards to the Hon’ble PM.”

Referring to Banerjee’s challenge that she would resign if anybody can prove his claim that she rang up Union Home Minister Amit Shah four times after Trinamool Congress lost its “All India” tag, Adhikari stated, ” For making the call to Delhi, you used a landline. I’d expose you in due time. Wait for my befitting reply tomorrow. “

On Tuesday, Adhikari claimed that Banerjee had dialled Shah four times to request that he repeal the Election Commission’s decision revoking TMC’s national party status.

Also referring to Banerjee’s naming some districts, Adhikari said, ‘You know why you keep repeating Purulia, Bankura, Birbhum, Malda, Medinipur; because in your subconscious mind, you know that you grabbed power in (May) 2011 because I was in charge of these districts. Your worthless Bhaipo (nephew) was nowhere in the scene & was launched only after July 2011.”

“Will quit if anybody can prove I dialled Shah”

Coming down heavily on the BJP for spreading “canards” against the Trinamool Congress, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said she would resign if anybody could prove she called up Union Home Minister Amit Shah after TMC lost the national party status.

“The BJP is the most corrupt party,” Banerjee said during a press meet here.

Without taking Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari ‘s name, Banerjee said she will resign if anybody can prove that she rang up Union Home Minister Amit Shah four times after losing the “All India” tag.

On Tuesday Adhikari, a senior BJP leader, claimed that Banerjee had dialled Shah four times to request him to repeal the Election Commission’s decision revoking TMC’s national party status.

“It’s a blatant lie,” she averred.

Making it clear that her party will remain All India Trinamool Congress, Banerjee said, “I have demanded Union Home Minister Amit Shah ‘s resignation because his attitude doesn’t behove that of a Home Minister.”
