Lunglei district receives 700 family happiness kits

Lunglei: Lunglei District Monday received 700 ‘Family Happiness Packets’ worth Rs. 10 Lakhs from Akshaya Patra Foundation through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). This takes the total Covid-19 related CSR inflow into Lunglei district to Rs. 92.50 lakhs as the district had earlier received two consignments of medical equipment worth Rs 82.50 lakhs through CSR earlier last month.

The donations were made through the efforts of Lunglei Deputy Commissioner Kulothungan A, IAS. 

The items will be distributed across Lunglei District to 700 families affected by Covid-19 lockdown.

Kulothungan A, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Lunglei District expressed his heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the people to Shridhar Venkat, CEO, Akshaya Patra Foundation who have selflessly lent their helping hands to the people of Mizoram (Lunglei District) in these trying times.

The ‘Family Happiness Kit’ is a dry ration kit that is estimated to provide for a 4 member family for 15 days.
