Aizawl: Pi PB Lianthangpuii, a retired MIS officer, was sworn in as the new member of Mizoram Public Service Commission (MPSC) at a swearing-in ceremony held at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Aizawl Thursday forenoon.
She became the 2nd woman to be appointed as a member of the MPSC.
The oath-taking commenced with H.Lalengmawia, Home Commissioner and Chief Secretary-in-Charge of Mizoram reading the warrant of appointment by the Governor. Governor of Mizoram, Hari Babu Kambhampati then administered the Oath of Office, Allegiance and Secrecy to Pi PB Lianthangpuii at the ceremony. Chief Minister, Lalduhoma; Speaker, Lalbiakzama; Lok Ayukta Chairman, C.Lalsawta and other dignitaries attended the swearing-in ceremony.
PB Lianthangpuii holds a B.A. degree in Pol. Sc. (Hons). She joined the Mizoram Information Service in 1989. She is a skillful Public Relations Officer and a highly experienced officer who held several key posts under the Information & Public Relations, the Government of Mizoram. She retired on January 31, 2024.
