Laxman Acharya sworn in as 17th Governor of Sikkim

Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court Biswanath Sommader administered the oath of office to Acharya at the Raj Bhavan after the warrant of appointment was read out by the Chief Secretary Vijay Bhushan Pathak.

Gangtok: Laxman Acharya was sworn in as the 17th Governor of Sikkim on Thursday.


Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court Biswanath Sommader administered the oath of office to Acharya at the Raj Bhavan after the warrant of appointment was read out by the Chief Secretary Vijay Bhushan Pathak.


The new Governor later inspected a guard of honour at the lawns of the Rajbhawan.

graced the occasion. .
