Imphal: Two alleged militants were nabbed in two separate incidents by police and Assam Rifles personnel.
Dr S. Ibomcha Singh, SP-Imphal West said on Tuesday a KYKL cadre identified as SS Major Tangba, 41, son of L Ibomcha Meitei of Bishnupur Maning Leikai ward no. 3 was nabbed from Keishampat.
He is working under the command of SS Lieutenant Colonel Ingba.
In another incident, Assam Rifles and Manipur Police nabbed a KCP cadre at Sekmaijin Heibong Makhong, Kakching District, on Monday.
He was identified as Ibochouba and handed over to Hiyanglam Police Station for further investigation and necessary legal action.
Stolen JCB recovered
A combined team of Senapati District Police and Assam Police recovered one stolen JCB excavator bearing Regn. No. AS-31-C-0307 registered in the name of Ramchandra Chauhan on April 3, 2023.
The excavator was recovered from New Laii village under Tungjoy Police Station. The recovered JCB excavator was later handed over to the Assam Police, said a press note from the PRO, Manipur police.
