Justice Sanjay Kumar sworn-in as Chief Justice of Manipur High Court

Imphal: Justice Puligoru Venkata Sanjay Kumar was sworn-in as the new Chief Justice of Manipur High Court here Sunday.

Manipur Governor Najma A. Heptulla administered the oath of office to the new Chief Justice with strict adherence to COVID-19 SOPs.

Justice PV Sanjay Kumar was appointed as Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur by the President of India on 12th February, 2021. Prior to this, he served as a Judge in the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Chief Minister N. Biren Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Y. Joykumar Singh, Cabinet Ministers, Advisors to Government, Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Director General of Police LM Khaute, and judges from outside the state and High Court of Manipur.
