JKOA to hold Sardar Rangeel Singh Sports Award event in December

Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association will be organising the Sardar Rangeel Singh Sports Award function in the month of December.

The decision was taken in the General Body Meeting of the J&K Olympic Association held here on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Ashutosh Sharma, President J&K Olympic Association.

Representation of 23 Affiliated J&K Sports Association attended the meeting, said a handout.

It further said that besides discussing the day to day activities of the Association, the members also deliberated upon organizing the Award Ceremony function of the S Rangil Singh Award for Sports Excellence 2019-20 in the month of December.

Advisor Youth Services and Sports Farooq Khan will be the chief guest on the occasion.

The JKOA President also extended gratitude to the Advisor for convening the meeting with all J&K Sports Associations and solving most of the problems on the spot as projected by them.

Hony General Secretary J&K Olympic Association Dushyant Sharma briefed the members about the working of the J&K Olympic Association and conduct of National Games, the committee will be constituted for Goa and Kerala for National Games.

He requested all the members present to express views about the promotion and development of Sports in J&K UT.

Dushyant Sharma also extended gratitude to the Advisor for patient hearing of the Associations.

Kuldeep Singh Jamwal Vice-president J&K Olympic Association also gave their views for the promotion and development of Sports in J&K UT.

A vote of thanks was presented by Bhupinder Singh Tirthi, Treasurer J&K Olympic Association.
