Imphal: The Indian Army organized a special event in Phougakchao, Manipur, dedicated to women’s empowerment and celebrating the crucial role of women in Manipur’s society.
The event included a range of activities such as financial education sessions, recreational activities, and a special tribute to the wives of both serving and retired soldiers.
Approximately 100 women attended the gathering, including 15 wives of service personnel and over 80 women from Phougakchao and neighboring villages.
Army officials commended the significant contributions of women to their families and society. Attendees benefited from financial education provided by experts from the State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank, followed by engaging in various recreational activities.
This initiative aimed to educate and support the women of the state, offering them a well-deserved break from their daily routines.
