Imphal: The Governor of Manipur, Anusuiya Uikey conveyed her “warm salutations to the people of Manipur, especially to our Christian brethren, on the sacred occasion of Good Friday, 2024”.
In her message, Governor Uikey said, “sent with the objective to bring a new world order based on truth, humility, sacrifice, equality, compassion, and peace, Lord Jesus is a giant among humans and His preaching of peaceful co-existence and love for thy neighbours has withstood the test of time.”
Good Friday exemplifies His supreme sacrifice for all the sins of mankind and His resurrection represents the victory of good over evil, she added.
On this holy and pious occasion, the Governor called on all to rededicate to the noble ideals of peace, harmony and brotherhood espoused by Him for a better world devoid of all evils and observe the sacred day in its true spirit.
