Bhopal: On the 37th anniversary of the Bhopal gas tragedy, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid homage to the people who were claimed by the industrial disaster.

“Numerous precious lives were snuffed out. May such a catastrophe never recur. With the combined efforts of the government and the society, we can prevent human errors,” he wrote on social media.

Appealing for a balance between development and environment as well as the adoption of protective measures, he added, “The state government always stands with victims’ families. The Almighty created this planet for all. Animals, birds, insects and flora are part of it. We have to make the Earth greener by planting more and more saplings.
