Earthquake measuring 4.1 magnitude jolts Assam

The epicentre of the earthquake was 38 km west-south-west of Guwahati, the NCS said.

Guwahati: An earthquake with an intensity of 4.1 on the Richter scale shook Assam and neighbouring areas at 1.12 pm on Saturday.

According to the National Centre for Seismology the epicentre of the earthquake, Latitude-26.07 and Longitude-91.36, is located in Kamrup. The depth of the earthquake was 10 km.

The epicentre of the earthquake was 38 km west-south-west of Guwahati, the NCS said.

“Earthquake of Magnitude:4.1, Occurred on 20-11-2021, 13:12:15 IST, Lat: 26.07 & Long: 91.36, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 38km WSW of Guwahati, Assam, India,” the NCS tweeted.
