Durjya Dhan Chakma sworn-in as CEM, CADC

Durjya Dhan Chakma was appointed the new CEM by the Governor of Mizoram following the resignation of Rasik Mohan Chakma from the post of CEM, CADC on March 29, 2021.

Lawngtlai: Durjya Dhan Chakma, an elected MDC of Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) was sworn in Tuesday as Chief Executive Member, CADC, in a program organised in the premises of CADC Rest House, Kamalanagar. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Marilyn Rualzakhumthangi, Lawngtlai District administered the oath of office and secrecy.

Durjya Dhan Chakma was appointed the new CEM by the Governor of Mizoram following the resignation of Rasik Mohan Chakma from the post of CEM, CADC on March 29, 2021.

He is the third CEM of this 10th CADC. He contested the CADC General Election held in 2018 with MNF ticket and was elected from 5-Kamalanagar North. 

The new CEM has announced the name of four MDCs, namely, Hiranand Tongchangya, Bhuban Kumar Chakma, Uday Tongchangya and Sanjiv Chakma to be inducted in his Executive Committee. There are seven Executive Members in all.
