Imphal: in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Friday, Manipur logged three Covid related death, 44 new positive cases and 32 recoveries, as per an official release from the health department.
The three persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal East. Tamenglong and Ukhrul, with this, the cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,930. Two of the three persons who expired had co-morbidities and none of them had taken the Covid vaccine.
Of the 44 persons who tested positive from the general population, 31 of them are from Imphal West, eight from Imphal East, two from Tamenglong and one each from Bihsnupur, Kamjong, and Thoubal.
Altogether, 1,275 persons were tested giving a positivity rate of 3 %.
Meanwhile, 32 persons recovered and were discharged, three of them from home isolation, 17 from CCCs, and five from JNIMS and seven from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.87 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 24,001 out of which 1,21,358 have recovered leaving 713 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on November 4, 2021, is 2,240, the cumulative number of doses administered is 19,99,539 (1st dose 12,52,251, 2nd dose 7,47,288).
