Covid-19 situation continues to improve in Manipur

The 8 persons who tested positive from the general population include 3 each from Imphal West and Churachandpur and 1 each from Bishnupur, Kakching and Senapati.

Imphal: The improving Covid-19 pandemic situation continues with no death reported in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday. During the same period, 9 persons (3males and 6 females) from the general population tested positive, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 8 persons who tested positive from the general population include 3 each from Imphal West and Churachandpur and 1 each from Bishnupur, Kakching and Senapati.

Meanwhile, 2 persons recovered and were discharged, 1 from JNIMS and 1 from RD Wing.

 The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,213 (General Population — 25,782 and Central Security Personnel — 3,431). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,757 (General Population — 25, 341 and CAPF— 3,416 ). The number of active cases is 83 (general population 72 and CAPF 11). The recovery rate is 98.43%.

Total number of those vaccinated Saturday is3094 and the cumulative vaccination number is 28453.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 22989 include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs 78 persons were given Covid-19 vaccine on Sunday and that the cumulative no of people vac, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.

There is no severe reaction/allergies, adverse event following immunization (AEFI) to date. There were 41 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them are now fully recovered, the release added.
