COVID-19: Arunachal reports 44 fresh cases, no casualty

The state's COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.71 per cent, while with a total of 273 fatalities the mortality rate remains at 0.50 per cent.

Itanagar: The single-day COVID recoveries continue to outnumber the new cases in Arunachal Pradesh.

While 59 persons recovered from the disease, 44 more persons have tested positive for COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, a senior Health Department official said, while adding that no fresh casualty was reported in the period.

With the addition of 44 fresh infections, the state’s tally of confirmed cases swelled to 54,285, while the daily recuperations pushed the total number of recoveries to 53,584.

Eleven of the new cases were detected in Tirap district, nine found in Itanagar Capital Complex, eight in Lower Subansiri and six in Tawang. Thirty of the fresh cases turned out to be asymptomatic and 14 symptomatic.

Arunachal Pradesh tested 2823 samples for COVID-19 in the period that took its cumulative figure to 11,29,216.

The state’s COVID-19 recovery rate stands at 98.71 per cent, while with a total of 273 fatalities the mortality rate remains at 0.50 per cent.

Meanwhile, more than 10,000 were administered COVID-19 vaccine doses on Thursday, taking the state’s cumulative count on vaccination coverage to 11.22 lakh, the official added.
