Gangtok: Chief Minister PS Tamang on Monday while paying tributes to and extended his gratitude towards the heroes of the Kargil War on the occasion of ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ the day which honours the brave soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty during the 1999 Kargil war.
Remembering the grit and valour of the Indian soldiers, the Chief Minister stated, ‘the sacrifice of those brave soldiers who died in the line of duty will forever be etched in the history of our country.’
‘The martyrs will always be remembered with the utmost respect and also gratitude’, the CM added. He appreciated the supreme sacrifice being made by the men and women safeguarding the borders for the security of the country.
