New Delhi: Nongthombam Biren Singh led BJP government is set to retain power in Manipur as per the exit polls, improving its performance compared to 2017.
As per the CVoters exit poll, BJP will get 25 seats in Manipur, up from 21 in 2017, while Congress is said to get 14 seats, down from 28 in 2017.
India Today – Axis My India exit poll predicts 33-43 seats for BJP; Congress 4-8 seats, while others get 10-23 seats.
According to India TV-Ground Zero Research exit poll data, BJP may win 23-28 seats, while Congress will get 10-14 seats.
Results for Manipur polls will be declared on March 10.
The BJP had created history in Manipur in 2017 by forming the government for the first time in the state. This despite the fact that it had won lesser seats than the Congress.
This time around, if the exit poll predictions hold true, the BJP will comfortably form its government in the state. While the poll of exit polls shows the BJP one short of the halfway mark at 29 seats, at least two exit polls predict that the ruling party will manage a simple majority in the state.
