Guwahati: The Assam government has declared two days state mourning from 6th February, 2022 to 7th February, 2022 on the death of India’s legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who died here on Sunday after a brief illness.
During the period of state mourning the national flag will be flown at half mast in all the government buildings where it is flown regularly and there will be no official function or engagement, an official statement said.
Lata Mangeshkar who was known as the Queen of Melody passed away on Sunday at the age of 92.
