Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Sunday, Manipur recorded four Covid-related deaths, 201 positive cases (146 general population, 5 CAPF) and 204 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The four persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal East, Kakching, Bishnupur and Thoubal respectively. All the deceased persons had co-morbidities and none of them have been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2063.
Of the 196 persons from the general population who tested positive, 75 are from Imphal West, 58 from Imphal East, 14 each from Thoubal and Bishnupur, nine from Churachandpur, eight from Kakching, five from Senapati, four from Tengnoupal, three from Ukhrul, two each from Kangpokpi and Chandel, and one each from Noney and tamenglong.
Altogether 2,008 persons were tested which amounted to a positivity rate of 10.0 %
Meanwhile, 204 persons recovered and were discharged, 157 from home isolation, 33 from CCCs, five from JNIMS and nine from RIMS . The recovery rate of the state stands at 95.66 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1,34,862 out of which 1,29,013 have recovered, leaving 3,786 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on Feb 5, 2022, is 12,890, the cumulative number of doses administered is 25,68,152 (1st dose 14,57,095, 2nd dose 10,72,024) and precautionary dose 39,033.
There are a total of 300 Covid beds in JNIMS, out of which 71 are occupied while 229a re vacant while in RIMS there are 190 Covid beds, out of which 52 are occupied and 138 are vacant.
