Imphal: Assam Rifles averted a major fire on Tuesday in Lamlongei village, located in the Mantripukhri area of Imphal East District, Manipur.
A vigilant sentry stationed at the Assam Rifles Mantripukhri Garrison noticed a house across from Gate No. 1 of the garrison that had caught fire. Acting swiftly, the sentry alerted the Assam Rifles.
Thanks to the prompt response and quick action of the Assam Rifles firefighting team, the blaze was quickly brought under control, preventing it from spreading to nearby homes and shops.
Residents of Lamlongei village expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Assam Rifles for their timely assistance, according to a press release from the PRO, IGAR(S).
