Tengnoupal: In a magnificent stride towards cultivating physical fitness, mental resilience and civil-military synergy, Assam Rifles successfully orchestrated a series of comprehensive wellness initiatives across diverse border regions of Manipur. Fostering a robust culture of active living, the security forces commenced a vibrant five-kilometre run titled “Chakpikarong Chases the Run: 5K to Fitness” from the Chakpikarong Public Playground in Chandel District. The energetic event witnessed a collective turnout of dedicated troops alongside forty enthusiastic boys and girls from Kendriya Vidyalaya Chakpikarong, unifying civil administration, police, Border Security Force personnel and local student bodies in a shared commitment to youth empowerment.
Furthering this holistic health narrative, a spectacular mega fitness campaign was conducted at Modi in Chandel District on 24 May 2026. This extensive drive seamlessly combined a rigorous endurance-building cycle rally with a rejuvenating yoga session, engaging a total of 162 dedicated military personnel to bolster operational readiness and mental equilibrium. Simultaneously, the nationwide Fit India Movement reverberated across Tengnoupal District through two simultaneous events organized at Moreh. Bringing together approximately 60 vigilant troops and 20 locals, these highly engaging sessions featured dynamic, structured yoga postures and an exhilarating, rhythmic Zumba session. Expressing deep appreciation, Mr Anil Kumar, Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Chakpikarong, lauded the unwavering dedication of the Assam Rifles in consistently providing constructive, transformational opportunities for the border youth, thereby reinforcing the enduring bonds of camaraderie between the forces and the local population.
