Pherzawl: The week-long Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign “Jan Bhagidaari – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle”concluded successfully in Pherzawl district, bringing essential government services to some of the region’s most remote villages. The campaign, spearheaded by the district administration, covered 22 villages through 14 service camps and benefited more than 3,000 residents.

Deputy Commissioner Mannuamching, IAS, reviewed the outcomes of the campaign during a debriefing meeting held on Monday. She highlighted that the initiative combined Jan Sunwai programmes, health camps, and transect walks, enabling direct interaction between government officials and local communities while addressing public grievances and service delivery gaps.

One of the major attractions of the campaign was Aadhaar enrolment and updation, which witnessed a significant turnout. During the campaign, officials delivered 353Aadhaar services, 334 caste certificates, and 260 domicile certificates, besides facilitating access to welfare schemes including PM-KISAN, Pension Yojana, MGNREGA, and Mission Indradhanush.

A tree plantation drivewas also organised, reflecting the administration’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

Appreciating the efforts of government departments, field-level staff, village authorities, self-help groups and residents, the Deputy Commissioner noted that the campaign demonstrated the administration’s resolve to ensure last-mile delivery of public services.
