Tengnoupal: Emphasising its unwavering commitment to humanitarian assistance and the welfare of the local populace, Assam Rifles orchestrated comprehensive medical camps at J Munnomjang and T Minou villages in Tengnoupal District on 25 May 2026. These essential healthcare initiatives aimed to provide accessible medical consultations and vital healthcare services to remote border communities, significantly enhancing the quality of life in the region.
The medical camp at J Munnomjang Village in Moreh, Tengnoupal District, witnessed a heartfelt response as approximately 150 villagers benefitted from thorough health check-ups and the distribution of necessary medicines. In an exemplary display of compassionate service, the security forces conducted a specialized door-to-door medical campaign, delivering essential treatments directly to the elderly and bedridden individuals who were unable to commute to the primary site.
Simultaneously, the healthcare drive at T Minou in Tengnoupal District further strengthened the deep bonds of civil-military cooperation. The dedicated medical team meticulously examined and treated a total of 94 patients, comprising 35 men, 37 women and 22 children suffering from seasonal illnesses and common ailments. Alongside customized medical advice, essential medicines were distributed entirely free of cost. Through these synchronized efforts, Assam Rifles successfully promoted preventive health awareness and hygiene practices, generating immense goodwill and sincere gratitude from the remote border inhabitants.
