Guwahati: BJP’s star campaigner and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today said that the rich culture and identity of Assam can only be protected by the BJP.

“Chai Bagan, Kamakhya temple, Maha Brahmaputra speaks volumes about the rich historical treasure of the state of Assam. The identity and rich culture of the state can only be protected by BJP,” Yogi said while addressing an election rally in Southern Assam.

Launching a scathing attack, he said our government has been at the forefront, it contributed to Assam’s progress which was ignored during the Congress regime.

They had intentionally neglected the region putting a stop to the wheel of development here.

Ahead of the Assembly Elections 2021, Yogi addressed three public rallies at Udharbond, Silchar, and Borkhola assembly constituencies today.

The BJP star campaigner for the upcoming Assam Assembly polls said that Infrastructure, education, connectivity, health, women empowerment, and other initiatives are a part of BJP’s aim for inclusive development.

Applauding BJP’s work in Assam, Yogi said, “In the last six years, there was no discrimination done by the government.

“People are reaping benefits from the schemes like Kisan Nidhi, PM Housing, Ayushman Bharat, etc of the BJP Government. Likewise, once again the double-engine government is necessary for this assembly,” Yogi said.

CM Yogi promised flood-free Assam if BJP is elected.

He said that the people of Assam have to face the wrath of the flood every year. To make the state flood-free in the next five years, the Central Government and the Government of Assam are working together and preparing an action plan in this regard.

This is Yogi’s second visit to the poll bound Assam within the span of a week.
