Itanagar: Road communication between Yingkiong and Tuting in Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Siang district bordering China has been totally disrupted as a large portion of the Tuting-Yingkiong road was washed away at Palisi, Panggo village on Thursday.

Besides, the rain-triggered landslides blocked the road at several stretches, as a result of which many vehicles and passengers reportedly got stranded at the block points, official sources said.

“Due to incessant heavy rainfall for several days many road blockades were reported between Janbo, Bomdo, Mosing & Migging villages badly affecting the commuters from Yingkiong to Tuting and vice-versa,” Upper Siang Deputy Commissioner Shashvat Saurabh said.
