Arunachal reports 4 new COVID cases, 5 recoveries

The state registered five recoveries during the past 24 hours as against the detection of four new cases in the period, a senior Health department official said.

Itanagar: COVID-19 recoveries continue to outnumber daily cases in Arunachal Pradesh as the downward trend in the pandemic situation persists in the hilly state.

The state registered five recoveries during the past 24 hours as against the detection of four new cases in the period, a senior Health department official said.

With the addition of the fresh cases, the state’s tally of confirmed cases mounted to 55,180, while the active caseload stands at 60. On the other hand, with the five recoveries the total number of cured cases rose to 54,840, he said.

Of the new cases of COVID-19 infection, Lower Dibang Valley, Shi-Yomi, Tawang and West Kameng reported one case each. The State had collected 446 samples for Covid-19 testing during the last 24 hours that took its cumulative count to 11,88,349.

On the vaccination front, 2,085 people have received COVID-19 vaccine doses during the past 24 hours. The state has administered 13,33,963 vaccine doses so far to its adult population including the healthcare workers and frontline workers under the Centre’s countrywide inoculation drive.
