Arunachal reports 287 new Covid cases, 2 deaths

According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services, out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 66, followed by Lohit 34 and West Kameng 30.

Itanagar: As many as 287 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s caseload to 34,767, while two more fatalities pushed the death toll to 167, officials said here on Sunday.

According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services, out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 66, followed by Lohit 34 and West Kameng 30.

Barring 104, all other patients are asymptomatic, it said.

As per the bulletin, of the latest fatalities reported, a 62-year-old woman who was referred from DCHC, Namsai died on Saturday at DCH, Pasighat. A 40-year-old man from East Siang passed away on Friday at DCH, Pasighat.

On the other hand, 262 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries in the state to 32,054.

Active cases currently stands at 2,546.
