Arunachal reports 227 new Covid-19 cases; one death

According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services, out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported a maximum number of cases at 53 followed by Lower Subansiri 44 and Lohit 24.

Itanagar: As many as 227 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s infection tally to 49,668 while the death toll rose to 237 as two more succumbed to the disease.

According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services, out of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported maximum number of cases at 53 followed by Lower Subansiri 44 and Lohit 24.

Barring 86, all the patients are asymptomatic.

As per the bulletin, the fresh casualty was reported from Lohit. A 43-year-old man who had tested positive through rapid antigen test (RAT) passed away on Friday at DCHC, Tezu. The body was handed over to the family members as per Covid SoP.

On the other hand, the recoveries tally rose to 46,399 as 420 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours. The recovery rate is over 93 per cent.

Active cases tally stands at 3,032.
