Arunachal logs 476 new Covid-19 cases; tally mounts to 43,804

Itanagar: As many as 476 people have tested positive for Covid-19 in Arunachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, taking the state’s infection tally to 43,804.

According to the bulletin issued by the state Directorate of Health Services, of the new positive cases, Itanagar Capital Complex reported the highest at 131, followed by West Kameng 40, Tawang 38, Lohit and Upper Subansiri 25 each and Longding 21.

Seventeen cases were reported from Namsai, Changlang 13, Anjaw 11, Siang, Tirap and Upper Siang 10 each, Lower Dibang Valley eight, Kurung Kumey and Lower Siang five each, East Kameng four, West Siang and Kra-Daadi three each and Kamle two, it said.

Of these, 256 patients are asymptomatic and 220 symptomatic.

As per the bulletin, 404 patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total recoveries to 39,269. Active cases tally stands at 4,332. Death toll at 203.
