Imphal: In its ongoing commitment to enhance infrastructure and support education in the region, the Army constructed a Multipurpose Study Hall at Bijang village in Churachandpur District of Manipur, under Operation Sadbhavana.

The initiative to build a multipurpose study hall was initiated by an Assam Rifle unit under the aegis of  Red Shield Division, in response to requests from locals.

This facility will benefit the educational landscape of the village, catering for the needs of students and those preparing for various competitive examinations. Located in a tranquil area, away from disturbances, the hall offers an ideal environment for effective and peaceful study sessions.

Directly impacting approximately 140-150 students from the village and surrounding areas, the new multipurpose study hall has garnered appreciation from the villagers, who are grateful for the Indian Army’s efforts in addressing the educational challenges faced by remote communities, according to a press note from the PRO (Defence), Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh.
