Imphal: First annual conference of the Manipur Radiological Society, CONRAD, 2023 was held on Wednesday. The occasion was held at the Jubilee Hall, RIMS, Lamphelpat, Imphal.
Speaking as Chief Guest at the occasion, Health & IPR Minister Dr. Sapam Ranjan Singh said that the idea of radiology has been increasing day by day. There has been a period of transformation in the chronicle of radiology. Digitization has replaced the conventional method of technology. There has been a system of digitization emerged. Conventional X-Ray has also been replaced by Digital X-Ray, he added.
Minister maintained that there were a limited number of radiologists in the state. But the number has been increased to its satisfaction gradually. The state has well-qualified radiologists who have profound experience and knowledge of technical know-how. Junior radiologists should consult and take advice from the seniors for a bright career, he suggested.
Ranjan stated that the emergence of Radio Diagnosis has become a phenomenal trend. Patients’ safety is the priority of every medical professional. Coordination amongst medical professionals is necessary. We can look forward in bringing an exceptional change towards Digital revolution, Minister added. Â
Dr. S. Subhaschandra Singh, Prof. G. Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director, RIMS, Prof. Kh. Lokeshwar Singh, Medical Superintendent, JNIMS, Imphal and Prof. N. Sanjaib Singh, Medical Superintendent, RIMS attended the occasion as president and Guests of honour respectively. Meritorious certificates were also distributed to the outstanding PG students of RIMS as a part of the occasion.
