Bengaluru: To mark the 91st anniversary of the Indian Air Force, Air Force Station Yelahanka is organizing the Air Force Marathon on October 1.
This event is open to the public, and would be flagged-off from the Station Sports Ground of the airbase at 6 am.
Women and children are also invited to participate.
The participation is free of cost, and the top three finishers in each category, viz males (half and mini), and females (half and mini) would be given attractive prizes.
Those desirous of participating in the marathon can register themselves online, in half or mini marathon categories.
This marathon is yet another initiative as part of the IAF’s outreach programme.
Under this programme, AF Stn Yelahanka recently made some of its facilities viz the station library and sports infrastructure available to the civil populace.
