Kamjong: The District Administration Kamjong joined the nation in observing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha at K. Somrei, Kasom Khullen Sub-division, Kamjong District today, as a part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026. Shri Leishiyo Keishing, MLA of Phungyar AC graced the occasion in the presence of Shri L.N. Kashung, Deputy Commissioner, Kamjong District.
Earlier in the day, L.N. Kashung, DC Kamjong led the other officials and residents of Kasom Khullen in the Seva Jyoti Yatra starting from K Somrei Community Hall to the Public Ground on Wednesday. He also led the participants attending the Sankalp Sabha in taking Viksit Bharat pledge, reaffirming the commitment towards individual welfare thereby transforming the nation towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
MLA, Phungyar AC Leishiyo Keishing, while addressing the gathering, emphasised on the positive change that can be made by every individual and advised to strive for their welfare by fostering in private-sector. He also stressed on instilling self-sustaining activity and urged to minimise dependence on state resources.
Leishiyo Keishing also distributed items like wheel Chair, Agricultural Seeds, Old Age Pension Cards, Health Card under Ayushman Bharat to the beneficiaries under various welfare schemes of the government.
A Seva Setu Abhiyan 2026, facilitation camp was also organised at K. Somrei Community Hall as a part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Various government departments including District Transport Office, District Child Protection Unit, District Horticulture Office, District Supply Officer, CAF & PD, District Social Welfare Office, District Agriculture Office, District Veterinary Office, Health Department and Zonal Education Office participated in the camp to deliver service to beneficiaries under different welfare schemes.
The program was attended by Sub-Divisional Officers, District Level Officers, Officials of District Administration Kamjong, headman of K. Somrei village, village Authorities, K Somrei women society and elders of the Village among others.
