Churachandpur: The District-level Jan Kalyan Shivir Public Welfare campaign concluded successfully across all Sub-Divisions of Churachandpur District today, marking the final phase of the outreach drive. The campaign was organized by District Administration, Churachandpur in coordination with line Departments.
The programme held at New Zalenphai village, Kangvai Sub-Division, was attended by Honorable MLA, 57 Henglep Assembly Constituency Letzamang Haokip; Deputy Commissioner, Krishna Kumar, IAS;  Shri Seiminthang Lenthang, ADC, Churachandpur  Th Mangminthang Gangte, SDO, Kangvai- Sub- Division; representatives of Village authority and local people of the surrounding areas.
The Campaign commenced with a welcome speech and keynote address delivered by Th Mangminthang Gangte, SDO, Kangvai, highlighted the significance of the Government schemes and services. This was followed by speeches from Honorable MLA, 57 Henglep  AC,  Letzamang Haokip and Krishna Kumar, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Churachandpur.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy commissioner Shir Krishna Kumar said that Jan Kalyan Shivir Camp was organized to bring government services closer to citizens at village level. He stated that District Officers and Staff were present to deliver certificates, pensions, Ayushman, Agriculture and Bank Services on spot. He informed that many services are now available online also, so citizens need not visit offices repeatedly. The DC expressed sincere gratitude to the Honorable MLA, ADC, SDO, line departments, leaders, Youth, all concerned and village Chiefs for their active cooperation in making the Jan Kalyan Shivir campaign a grand success.
Honorable MLA, expressed happiness that Deputy Commisioner, SDO, and all line department Officers were present at the camp. He appreciated that Departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Forest and Social Welfare extended full support to benefit individuals and villages. Representatives of Kangvai Sub-Division Chief’s Association also delivered a short speech. The programme concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Shri Seiminthang Lenthang, ADC, Churachandpur.
Later, inspection of stall set up by line Departments was carried out by the dignitaries. Benefits were distributed to ten beneficiaries by the dignitaries during the programme.
A multi-department service and awareness camps were held today simultaneously at Thanlon village under Thanlon Sub-Division, New Zalenphai under Kangvai Sub-Division, Mualnuam Community Hall under Mualnuam Sub-Division, Singngat village under Singngat Sub-Division, and Samulamlan village under Samulamlan Sub-Division of Chrachandpur District. The camps were held under the supervision of respective Sub-Divisional Officers in coordination with line Departments and Staff to ensure last-mile delivery of Government schemes and welfare programs. The camp brought together several line Departments to provide on-spot services and awareness of public welfare scheme initiated by the Central and State Government.
During the event, Banking institutions, led by the Lead District Manager, provided services related to account opening, KYC updation, PMJJBY, PMSBY and financial literacy awareness to beneficiaries, the ICDS Project and PM Matru Vandana Yojana team conducted an awareness drive with on-spot registration for pregnant and lactating mothers. The Medical Department carried out health checkups and consultations. The District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit counseled people on HIV/AIDS testing, treatment and prevention, while the District TB Centre provided TB screening and guidance. The District Fishery Department shared information on fishery schemes. The Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation registered farmers for seed applications. Officials from PMAY-G, MGNREGS, SDO Office assisted rural housing beneficiaries and the District Industries Centre, Churachandpur facilitated registrations under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme for artisans and craftsmen.
Agriculture, Revenue, Forest, set up stalls and delivered Government schemes and services at their doorstep during the campaigns. Veterinary Department provided free medicines for domestic animals including cows, pigs and poultry to families. Death, Birth Affidavit, Tribe, Income and Domicile certificates were issued. Aadhaar updation and new enrollment was completed, beneficiaries were registered under PMVVY through ICDS, individuals enrolled under Ayushman Bharat. Application forms for Old Age and Widow Pension were also issued by the Social Welfare Department. As part of the green initiative, tree saplings were distributed during a multi-department service and awareness camps.
The campaign was inaugurated by the DC, Churachandpur on 17 June, 2026 at M Songgel Community Hall, Tuibong Sub-Division. Large numbers of local people from each Sub-Division attended their respective camps and availed benefits and services of Government Schemes.
