Pherzawl: The District Administration of Pherzawl intensified its public outreach under the Jan Kalyan Shivir (Public Welfare Camp), conducting the second day of the programme at Parbung with strong public participation and multi-departmental coordination.

Held under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Anunay Anand, IAS, and supervised by ADC Zosanglur Joute, the camp brought a wide array of government services directly to the people. Various departments set up service counters, enabling residents to access welfare schemes, seek information, and address grievances efficiently at their doorstep.

Key services included Aadhaar enrolment and updates, health check-ups, and on-the-spot registration for government schemes. Medical teams carried out basic screenings, while enrolment drives for CMHT and PM-JAY health cards were also undertaken.

Official figures yesterday revealed that a total of 78 people participated to avail welfare services and out of 68 applications received yesterday at the camp, 58 were resolved on the spot, reflecting an impressive disposal rate of 85.29 percent.

Several flagship schemes were actively promoted during the programme. These included Atal Pension Yojana, PMJJBY, PMSBY and financial literacy facilitated by SBI; PM-Kisan, Kisan Credit Card, and Soil Health Card services by the Agriculture Department; PMAY-G implemented by BDO Tipaimukh Block; PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana by MSPDCL; PM Ujjwala Yojana by the District Supply Office; and PM Vishwakarma along with UDYAM registration by the District Industries Centre.

A similar camp was also held at Ankhasuo under Vangai Block, further extending the administration’s outreach to remote areas.

The Jan Kalyan Shivir reflects the administration’s continued commitment to bridging the gap between governance and remote communities, ensuring that no citizen is left behind.
