Two died, seven were injured in Manipur

Imphal: Two persons were killed and seven persons were injured when armed persons fired at them when they were working at a paddy field at Naranseina, Bishnupur district on Tuesday.

One of the injured persons was in critical condition. Police said armed persons resorted to heavy firing on the farmers in which one person was injured. The attack on the farmers continued and two persons died.

All the injured were undergoing treatment at different hospitals at Imphal. People came out in large numbers demanding action against the armed miscreants who fired at the farmers.
