Patna: Seven people were murdered and five more were hurt in a collision between a container and a Scorpio on Wednesday morning in the Rohtas district of Bihar.
Sudeshwar Sharma, a native of Bamhaur Khas in the Mohania police station area of Kaimur district, was reportedly traveling in a Scorpio with his family after leaving Bodh Gaya, according to police sources.
During this, Scorpio struck a container that was parked on National Highway-2 close to the village of Pakhnari.
There were seven fatalities and five injuries on board the Scorpio as a result of the tragedy.
According to sources, the deceased have been identified as Kaimur district inhabitants from the Bamhor Khas hamlet, Arvind Kumar Singh (45), Premlata Priyadarshi (42), Aditya Vishwakarma (09), Riya Kumari (13), Tara Kumari (22), and Chandni Kumari (20) also a 60-year-old resident of the Sabar village community close to the Kudari police station Rajmuni Devo.
The wounded have been taken into the Sasaram Sadar Medical Center.
The postmortem of the deceased has been ordered.
