Itanagar: India’s Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus, Alok Ranjan Jha and India’s High Commissioner to the United Republic of Tanzania, Binaya Srikanta Pradhan on Monday called on Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra at Raj Bhavan here.
They discussed the bilateral areas of interest of Arunachal Pradesh with countries of their assignment, a communiqué from the Raj Bhavan said.
During the meeting, the Governor emphasized on exploring avenues for enhancing Arunachal tourism and people-to-people contact so as to build a strong foundation for the state’s relations with Belarus and Tanzania.
He stressed on development partnership, educational linkages, export and investment flow with both the nations.
While mentioning that Arunachal Pradesh is bestowed with numerous ethic tribes, traditions and heritage, the Governor suggested Arunachali’s cultural exchange programmes with the people of the two countries – Belarus and Tanzania.
The Governor also shared with the visiting Ambassador and High Commissioner about the Northeastern state’s abundant business and investment opportunities in the agro-industrial sector, mining, oil & natural gas, heavy machinery and equipment, the communiqué added.
