Decomposed body recovered, housewife tries to commit suicide

Ambassa: In two separate incidents in the subdivision of Ambassa, the decomposed dead body of a missing person was found accidentally and a housewife tried to commit suicide by burning herself, police said.

The body of a 32-year-old man, who had been missing for the last four days, was recovered from Mendi VC under adjoining Salema police station.

The man was identified as Abhijit Debbarma and lived with his in-laws in Ambassa, police said.

Some local wood collectors found him hanging in a dense forest at a hillock.

Police rushed to the spot, rescued the body and sent it to morgue.

In another incident a housewife, identified as Rani Debbarma, wife of one Masiya Debbarma of Kachimcharra area under the same Ambassa police station tried to commit suicide by burning herself. However, the neighbours and relatives rescued her.
