Manipur reports one death, 73 positive cases, 82 recoveries Monday

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus was from Imphal East. He had co-mobidities and had not been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2101.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Monday, Manipur reported one Covid-related death, 72 positive cases (72 general population, 1 CAPF) and 82 recoveries, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus was from Imphal East. He had co-mobidities and had not been vaccinated at all. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2101.

Of the 72 persons from the general population who tested positive, 25 are from Imphal West, 24 Imphal East, eight from Thoubal, seven from Bishnnupur, six from Ukhrul and one each from Kangpokpi and Chandel. Altogether 1,552 persons were tested which amounted to a positivity rate of 4.7 %

Meanwhile, 82 persons recovered and were discharged, 64 of them from home isolation, eight each from CCCs and JNIMS and two from RIMS. 

The recovery rate of the state stands at 97.99 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 506out of which 1, 33, 756 have recovered leaving 649 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on February 20, 2022, is 1,577, the cumulative number of doses administered is 26,69, 123 (1st dose 14,99, 164, 2nd dose 11,14, 300) and precautionary dose 55,659.
