Itanagar: The Budget session of the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly will be held from March 11 next, official sources said on Thursday.
The State Governor Brig (Retd) Dr BD Mishra has summoned the Seventh Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh to meet for its Ninth Session (Budget) at 10 am with effect from March 11 in the Legislative Assembly Chamber at the State capital, Itanagar.
The House session will continue till March 17, a communiqué from the State Legislative Assembly Secretariat here said.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, also the Minister-in-charge of Finance, Planning and Investment would present the Budget Estimates for the financial year 2022-23. Several important Government Bills are also likely to be tabled during the seven-day session, sources said.
As the exercise of preparing the State Budget for the coming fiscal year is on, the State Government has, like previous years, invited innovative ideas/suggestions from stakeholders to make the planning and budgeting exercise “participative and inclusive”.
“Jan- Bhagidhari is our collective effort for common good. One of the drive(s) towards a New Arunachal is to make development process participative. We invite valuable suggestions from you all for the ‘Arunachal State Budget 2022-23’.
Together, let’s make a difference,” Chief Minister Pema Khandu had said. He had also said that the top three suggestions would get the reward of Rs 50,000 each and one can submit his or her suggestions at www.arunachalbudget.in latest by February 20.
