Imphal: Former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh filed his nomination papers for the State Assembly elections on Thursday and announced that a new chapter will start after the elections.

Ibobi filed papers to contest as a Congress candidate from the Thoubal Assembly constituency at the office of the Returning Officer, Thoubal district.

Okram Ibobi said he expects to win this time so that a new chapter can be opened for the people of Manipur.

The Congress party knows the pulse of the people, he added. People have realized that the time has come to install a Congress government in the state, he added.
